Ronald Michael Hill of Palestine, Texas was born May 28th, 1938, to John & Eleanor Hill in Grand Forks North Dakota. He had two brothers (Danny & Bobby) and 3 beautiful sisters Joyce, Maybelle and his little sister Karen Williams. Ronald served his Country from 1955-1963 in the United States Air Force and was a proud veteran. Ronald Married Bonnie Faye Mclearen in Waco Texas in 1966 where they lived for many years until they moved to Palestine Texas. Ronald worked most of his life in the Automobile business as a Parts Manager, His last job was in Palestine, Texas at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the Beto Colony Unit for 5 years as a correctional officer.
Ronald was the life of the family with his funny sense of humor & all his lovable smiles & hugs. His best time of his life was spending it with his wife and his youngest Sister Karen. Karen and Ronald were so close they did everything together. They traveled to so many places and have shared so many funny stories from their lives while growing up. Ronald loved country music and would dance whenever and wherever he heard music. Ronald loved to talk about a trip that he had taken with Karen and Bill to the Coast, even though Ronald did not like the Ocean at all. There are so many funny stories about this trip, and he would laugh every time his sister would talk to him about them!
Ronald moved to Brown County in September 0f 2020 to be close and cared for by his Niece, Brenda. She has been his sole caretaker since the day he arrived. They enjoyed so many visits, laughter and tears throughout his time here. Their special saying to each other is “I love you too Much” they said this at the end of every visit until he was unable to speak, even then she could see it in his eyes. His Niece Dana came to help Take care of Ronnie in 2022 she was such a blessing. When Brenda told Ronald that she was going to take her first flight in 2019, His exacts words were “Don’t Do it” that was Ronalds biggest fear besides the Ocean.
Ronald is survived by his only little sister, Karen Williams and husband Bill; His daughter, Robin Stickles; sister-in-law, Lou Dooley; grandchildren, Mindy, Chantz, Lindsey, Michael, Michelle, Jimmy, B.J and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as great-great grandchildren and lots of nieces, nephews and extended family in Texas, Missouri and North Dakota.
