Tharon Britt Bean passed away on May 22, 2025, at Hendrick Medical Center in Brownwood, Texas, at the age of 61. A time of visitation will be held on May 30 at 9:00 AM, with funeral services beginning at 10:00 AM at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, followed by interment at Zephyr Cemetery.
Britt was born on September 22, 1963, in Brownwood to Tharon and Moe Bean. He graduated from Early High School and went on to complete college coursework at Abilene Christian University.
From an early age, Britt demonstrated a strong work ethic and deep family ties. From helping at his family’s butcher shop as a kid, to working on his father’s hog farms for many years; and later, being a truck driver for his cousin’s business, TXIW. He was truly a jack of all trades— talented and resourceful in any endeavor he pursued, which led to him establishing Bean’s Satellite in 2011— where he worked alongside his daughter Bree and close friend Lionel Ramos, and co-owning Echo Wireless during its early years.
Britt was a gifted vocalist and occasionally led singing at Early Church of Christ. In recent years, he was a faithful member of Austin Avenue Church of Christ. He had a deep love for music and found joy throughout his life in hunting, fishing, riding horses, and spending time outdoors. He especially cherished summer days in the sun— swimming in his backyard pool with his grandchildren, beach trips, and even waterskiing in his younger years.
More than anything, Britt loved his family. He was a devoted father and grandfather who took immense pride in his grandchildren. He rarely missed their sporting events and was their biggest fan, cheering them on from the sidelines with joy and enthusiasm.
Britt is survived by his parents, Tharon and Moe Bean; his son, Hayden Bean and wife Bridget; his daughter, Bree Pippin and husband Tyler; and his beloved grandchildren, Carter and Bennett Bean. He is also survived by his sisters, Kym Rome and husband Mark, and Vanessa Day and husband Jody; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
