Larry C. Jackson, 72, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away on September 23, 2025. He was born on May 8, 1953, in Brady, Texas, to Annie Williams and Edgar Jackson.

After proudly serving in the United States Army, Larry spent many years working in maintenance and growing his own small business. In retirement, he followed his passion by launching a second venture—making and selling homemade candy—which earned him the affectionate nickname “Candy Man.”

Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He took great pride in his family, celebrating their successes and being present for life’s moments, big and small. His kindness, steadiness, and love left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He survives by his beloved wife of 47 years, Debbie; daughters Angela Williams and husband James of Brownwood, and Kayla Jackson and husband Jeremy Brown of May; grandsons Jimmy Williams and Kayson Jackson; granddaughter Sarah Phariss and husband Adam; sister Shirley Powell of Brownwood; sister-in-law Sharon Jackson of Brownwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family friends who became like chosen family.

A Celebration of Life will be held October 18, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 1401 Brady Ave, Brownwood, TX 76801.

His memory will live on through his family, friends, and all the sweet joy he brought into the lives of others.
