
Damon Ray Butler, 66, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away on November 7, 2025.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at New Beginnings Church, 1001 Belle Plain Street in Brownwood, with Pastor Kelly Crenshaw officiating. A lunch provided by the church will begin at 12:30 PM, giving family and friends an opportunity to gather and share a meal before the service. The morning church service will begin at 10:30 AM for those who wish to attend.
Damon was born on June 21, 1959, in Waco, Texas, to Raymond Lester and Cecelia Butler. He attended Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas, and later married Vicki Louise on April 15, 2017, at New Beginnings Church in Brownwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Natasha Lavonne; and his granddaughter, Bailey Butler.
Damon is survived by his wife, Vicki Louise; his children, Jennifer Roe and her husband Cory, and Damon Ray Butler Jr.; his stepson, John Wesley Lawson II and his wife Samantha; his sister, Tammy and her husband Gordan; and his favorite niece, Crickett. Among his grandchildren are Trip and eleven others who loved him dearly. He also leaves behind many additional family members, friends, and two beloved dogs, Lucy and Baby Boy.
