
Harry G. Craig passed away December 3, 2025 at the age of 87.
Services will be held graveside only at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, Texas on Saturday 13, 2025 at 2:00pm under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early.
Harry was born February 15, 1938 in Miami, Oklahoma to Harry and Beatrice Craig. He attended and graduated from Early High School. And continued his education at A&I University in Kingsland, Texas where he played football for two years. Harry entered the US AirForce and became a fighter pilot serving in Vietnam. He retired from the AirForce in 1981 and went on to fly for Continental Airlines.
His call name in the AirForce was Harry the Hawk. He enjoyed flying the F100 and the F-5 airplanes. He is the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, Multiple Bronze Stars, and the Medal of Valor.
Harry was an avid reader of history and loved collecting guns, hunting, and travel.
Harry leaves behind his spouse of 30 years Nancy Craig of Garfield, Arkansas; his first wife Jackie Craig son Chris Craig wife Konnie and one granddaughter Caitlyn of Kyle, Texas; his second wife Deborah and son Lance Craig of Sugarland, Texas; brother-in-Law Lynn Cox, Nephews Jimmy Cox and Bruce Cox; multiple nieces and nephews and multiple grand nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Harry Warden Craig, mother Beatrice Degraux Craig, and sister-in-law Kay Cox.
