
In what is believed to be a record in the 74 years of the Brown County Youth Fair, the Grand Champion Steer – exhibited by Blaze Edwards – was auctioned Saturday for $32,000 during the Premium Sale at the Brown County Fairgrounds.
By contrast, a year ago Edwards also possessed the Grand Champion Market Steer, which brought $13,000.
The Grand Champion and Reserve Champions among Steers, Lambs, Swine, Ag Mechanics and Home Economics that were part of the sale received a total of $120,300 in bids – up substantially from $83,750 in 2025.
