Frances Ann (Casey) Baker, 91, of Blanket passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Heartland Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 27, 2026 at Salt Creek Baptist Church, Early, Texas with interment to follow at Routh Cemetery.

Frances was born May 5, 1934 in Santa Anna, Texas to E.Z. and Julia Ann Frances (Lovell) Casey. She graduated from Bangs High School and spent over 36 years teaching at Blanket, Texas. She was married to W.D. “Dub” Baker December 14, 1951 and they began a life together that blessed them with 4 children. Frances was a servant and teacher at heart. She taught Sunday School, vacation Bible School and served on the residential counseling board later on at the nursing center. A member of the Red Hat Society Women’s club, she loved gathering with friends for all kinds of crafts and shenanigans. Known by her family as the bingo Queen and also known to run off to the casino on occasion, Frances was always ready to travel. She made many memories traveling with her sister, nieces and lady friends to find a lighthouse to explore or a beach to lounge upon.

Frances is survived by her son, Terry Baker and wife Judy of Paradise, Texas & Dale Baker and wife Gail of Early; daughters, Deanna Diane Baker of Illinois & Wendolyn “Wendy” Tyson of Osage Beach, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Baker of San Antonio; sister, Patsy Hampton of Abilene; brother, Dickie Casey of Grosvenor; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, W.D. “Dub” Baker; son, Ronald Dean Baker; and brothers, Lloyd Casey, Eugene Casey & Jimmy Casey.
