COMANCHE – The Brownwood Lions finished fourth in the final team standings at the Comanche Tribe Relays Thursday, generating 80 points.

The Lions trailed only meet champion Hamilton (209.5 points), runner-up Goldthwaite (92), and third-place Tolar (90).

Leading the charge for Brownwood were Hutton Malone in the pole vault (13-0) and Trent Buffington in the 100 meters (10.95), who both won their events.

In JV action, the Lions came in second overall with 125 points, which left them behind only host Comanche (179).

Brownwood will next compete at the San Angelo Relays Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14.
