Live music will take center stage at Pat Coursey Park during this year’s Spring Art Stomp in downtown Brownwood on March 28, with performances from local student musicians and Texas Americana artist Zak Webb.
The event will begin with a special performance from the Brownwood Music student band, directed by longtime instructor Jackie Andersen. The student group will perform from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, showcasing a variety of musical genres and highlighting the talent of young local musicians.
Andersen has taught music at Brownwood Music for 23 years, helping generations of students develop their musical abilities and passion for performance.
Headlining the afternoon will be the Zak Webb Band, performing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Known for his soulful vocal style, dynamic stage presence, and wide-ranging Americana sound, Webb has built a strong following across Texas and beyond.
Webb’s music blends influences from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Elton John, and Prince while maintaining a distinct personal style rooted in his Texas upbringing. Since forming his band in 2018, Webb has released multiple singles and EPs and has shared the stage with artists including Shinyribs, Eli Young, Prophets and Outlaws, Coffey Anderson, and Randall King. In 2024, he was named International Singer/Songwriter Association USA Vocalist of the Year.
Spring Art Stomp is sponsored by Visit Brownwood, in collaboration with the Brownwood Art Association, and will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Brown County. The event is a sip and stroll style experience featuring local artists, live music, and tastings from local and regional wineries and breweries, while bringing the community together in support of youth programs in Brown County.
Spring Art Stomp continues to grow each year as a celebration of Brownwood’s creative community while giving back to organizations that make a difference locally.
