The Brown County Office of Emergency Management is proud to announce the rollout of Brown County Alert, a new countywide emergency messaging and alert system designed to deliver critical, time-sensitive information directly to residents.
Brown County Alert enhances the county’s ability to quickly communicate during emergencies such as severe weather, evacuations, public safety threats, and other situations requiring rapid public notification. The system allows officials to deliver alerts through multiple channels—including text message, phone call, and email— helping ensure that residents receive the information they need, when they need it most.
“During an emergency, timely information matters” said Cliff Karnes, Emergency Management Coordinator. “Brown County Alert gives us the ability to reach the public quickly with accurate and actionable information. This system only works to its full potential when our community members are registered, so we strongly encourage everyone to sign up.”
Registering for Brown County Alert is free, easy, and only takes a few minutes. Residents can sign up online at: https://brown.sircom.org/subscribe
During registration, users can select their preferred communication methods and choose the types of alerts they want to receive.
Those needing assistance with registration or who have questions about the service are encouraged to contact the Brown County Office of Emergency Management Office directly for support.
