Several honored at annual Early Chamber of Commerce Banquet

Last night, the Early Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual awards banquet. Many in the community were recognized for their efforts to the City of Early and Early ISD. The following is a list of the award winners:

Early Primary Teacher of the Year – Julie Schaeffer

Early Elementary Teacher of the Year – Candice Slate

Middle School Teacher of the Year – Kimberly Simpson

High School Teacher of the Year – Peggy Morales

Former Chamber Executive Director and Economic Development Corporation Executive Director was named Citizen of the Year and also presented with a special award for her work within the city and school district. Russell’s husband Gene was also presented with a special appreciation award for his years of service.

Chamber Board Member of the Year was awarded to Lisa Callihan

Ambassador of the Year award was presented to Jennifer Furry

Business of the Year was awarded to Cullen’s Hometown Market
