Brown County Assistant Elections Administrator Larry Franks reported that at the end of the first day of early voting, Brown County has set a new record. Exactly 1,000 Brown County voters cast a ballot. Franks also said more than 1,000 absentee ballots by mail were sent out. Aside from the general election, there is a local option liquor election for the City of Blanket and school board elections in Brookesmith and Zephyr. Early voting continues today thru Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Sunday the 30th from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and November 3rd and 4th from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
