Woman arrested on felony drug charges for second time in one month

Early Police Officer Andres Contreras stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Early Blvd Wednesday for a traffic violation. According to the report, the driver appeared “extremely nervous”. When questioned about her demeanor, the driver, Bulafae Jennifer Dawn Hollis, said she had been arrested previously for drugs. Hollis’ driver’s license was invalid. She was placed under arrest and after being placed in the patrol car, Hollis was seen moving around in the car. Hollis was removed from the car and it was learned she was trying to destroy and hide some drugs which field tested positive for methamphetamines. Hollis was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, felony 3; tampering with evidence, felony 3; possession of drug paraphernalia, class C; driving while license invalid and failure to signal, class C.
Hollis was arrested February 28 and charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group I >= 4g <200g after officers found 38 grams of methamphetamine while executing a search warrant at a house on Austin Ave.
