District Attorney Micheal Murray reported that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court with Judge Stephen Ellis presiding. Those sentenced were:
- Dominic Ward pled guilty to the felony offense of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and fabricating physical evidence and was sentenced to 15 years. Further, Ward pled guilty to the felony offense of possession of a controlled substance was sentenced to an additional five years.
- Juan Salazar Jr. pled guilty to the felony offense of tampering with a witness and was sentenced to 10 years.
- Jerry Neil Loer Jr. pled guilty to the felony offenses of possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and was sentenced to eight years. Further, Loer pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to an additional 12 years.
- Robby Glen Minica pled guilty to the felony offense of delivery of a controlled substance and was sentenced to eight years.
- Jody Duvall Burns, on probation for the felony offense of fiream smuggler was adjudicated and sentenced to six years. Further, Burns, on probation for the state jail felony offense of theft of a firearm was adjudicated and sentenced to an additional two years.
- Brennon O’Shea McDowell pled guilty to the felony offense of arson and was sentenced to five years.
- Tommy Wayne Clay pled guilty to the felony offense of possession of a controlled substance-drug free zone and was sentenced to four years.
- Jennifer Darlene Jolly, on probation for the offense of possession of a controlled substance-drug free zone was adjudicated and sentenced to 24 months.
- Ashley Nicole Vrba, on probation for the state jail felony offenses of possession of a controlled substance-drug free zone was revoked and sentenced to 22 months.
- Carrie Lyn Cox, on probation for the state jail felony offense of forgery was adjudicated and sentenced to 18 months.
- Cody Lynn Lewis pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and was sentenced to 12 months.
