Sergeant Fred Biddle with DPS has reported that a Brownwood man was killed Sunday. The report states that Fernando Alvizo, 34, of Brownwood was in the roadway on State Highway 206 just south of the Cross Plains city limit when he was struck by a 2010 Chevrolet pickup towing a boat trailer. Alvizo was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at about 5:30 a.m. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The crash is still under investigation.
