Brownwood, Early, Bangs announce holiday closures

Brownwood City Hall and other city facilities will close Monday January 16 in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Police and Fire Departments, along with other critical city services, will remain unaffected by the closure.

 

The following services and facilities will operate on a holiday schedule:

 

  • Solid Waste Collections: Residents with curbside garbage collection please have your blue or green cart placed curbside by 7 a.m. on your designated days: Monday’s collection will take place on Tuesday January 17.Thursday and Friday’s collection will be back to regular schedule.Call Public Works/Sanitation dept. at 325-643-4200 with any questions.
  • Tuesday’s collection will take place on Wednesday January 18.
  • There will be NO collection on Monday January 16, 2017
  • Utilities: Emergency services are available for water and sewer needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. After hours emergency water line breaks and wastewater backup calls can be made to Police Dispatch at 325-646-6000.
  • Landfill and Recycling Center will close Monday January 16. Questions concerning the landfill can be addressed by calling 325-646-6574.

Regular operational hours for all city facilities will resume on Tuesday January 17.

The City of Early City Hall, municipal development and municipal court offices will be closed Monday, January 16 for Martin Luther King Day. Commercial trash routes for Monday will be collected on Tuesday. There are no changes to the residential trash collection schedule.

The City of Bangs will also be closed for the same holiday. Trash routes will not be affected.
