As we celebrate EMS Week, the Emergency Room Staff at Brownwood Regional Medical Center recognizes the daily stresses of being a licensed paramedic or an EMT. The group has chosen to begin recognizing an EMS Employee of the Quarter to honor their efforts in going above and beyond for not only their patients and family members but the ER staff as well.
For the first Quarter of 2019 the ER staff has chosen Joshua Chapman. Joshua serves as a Staff Lieutenant for Lifeguard Ambulance of Brown County. He has been with Lifeguard Ambulance since November 2015. He has been very instrumental in partnering with Brownwood Regional Medical Center to share the importance of calling 911 and has assisted BRMC with educating the public about the signs and symptoms of Stroke.
“Being a licensed paramedic or EMT takes courage and calmness during stressful situations not only for oneself, but showing compassion and care for family members or friends present during the situation. Joshua does this daily, said, Lexie Feist, Director of BRMC Emergency Department. The ER staff is pleased to recognize Joshua as the recipient of the EMS employee of the 1st Quarter 2019. Chapman is a true hero to many including our ER staff. Thank you, Joshua!”
