Brownwood Regional Medical Center released the following information late Tuesday morning concerning discretionary surgeries.

“Given the numbers of COVID-19 cases in the community, and overall patients in our care, we are suspending all scheduled, discretionary, non-life-saving surgeries to conserve our resources for the delivery of urgent medical needs.   Emergency and scheduled, clinically necessary surgeries to intervene in a serious or life-threatening condition, will continue.”
