Brown County Sheriff’s Department Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Department filed two reports Monday and Tuesday, in addition to routine patrols.

The first report on Monday, Nov. 16, at about 2:26 p.m., Deputy Simpson took a call in regards to scam. Upon making contact with the caller, Deputy Simpson was advised the caller had sent $1000 to an unknown subject using Google Play Cards. The caller advised she believed she was helping a soldier retire and was going to help him move to Texas. A report was made.

On Tuesday, Nov. 17 at about 1:52 p.m., Deputy Simpson took a walk-in. This was in regards to theft of identifying information. A complaint stated her husband had stolen her Texas ID’s. A report was made.
