Brownwood Loses Varsity Games to Glen Rose

Both the Glen Rose Lady Tigers and Tigers are state ranked and maintained their rankings by defeating the Lady Lions and Lions on Friday night.

LADY LIONS – In a game played on the home court at Warren Gym, No. 7 Glen Rose (4-1) defeated Brownwood (1-4) by a final of 54-31.

Tessa Goodwin tallied a team-high 14 points for the Lady Lions, Price added seven, Jaylen Savage chipped in four, Kynslee Walker and Naysa Leach contributed two points apiece and Mady Pyle and Lindsey Larose both sank one free throw.

LIONS – In Glen Rose, the No. 21 Tigers protected the home court with a 45-36 victory over Brownwood. The Tigers improve to 3-0, Brownwood is now 1-2 in District 6-4A.

The Lions received 10 points from Jakob Hataway, seven each from Bryson Monroe and Christian Kinzler, five from Michael Felts, and two points apiece from Luke Moss and Nathan Wheelington.
