Five Sentenced in District Court

According to Brown County District Attorney Micheal Murray, felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Mike Smith, presiding.

Forrist Lee Pierce pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Twenty-Five (25) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jessica Walton, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon was adjudicated and sentenced to Six (6) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Walton, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to Two (2) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Zoe Dawn Thomas, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child was adjudicated and sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Thomas pled guilty to the state jail felony offenses of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Two (2) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Robert William Phillips, Jr., on probation for the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, was revoked and sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Joshua Hamlett, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, was adjudicated and sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
