Guadalupe Balboa “Wally” Zamora, Sr., age 86, of Brady, Texas passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 in Brady.  He was born June 12, 1935 in Yorktown, Texas to Eduardo Mungia Zamora and Angelita (Balboa) Zamora.  Wally was a hard working man.  He worked for Roddie Wool for over 25 years, retiring in 1999.   He enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching the Texas Rangers baseball games, savoring a cup of coffee and playing his scratch off lottery tickets.  He has lived in Brady since 1964.

Funeral services for Guadalupe Balboa “Wally” Zamora will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady with Reverend Devin Taylor officiating.  Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.  Friends may view Wally Zamora’s Memorial Video Tribute and/or sign the online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com.

Pallbearers will be John Zamora, Joe Gobea, Lupe Zamora, Jr., Jakob Zamora, Austin Zamora and Joseph Amaya.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremy McVay, Kaden Thompson and Max Arriaga.

Guadalupe Balboa “Wally” Zamora is survived by his sons John Anthony Zamora and wife Isabel of Brady, TX, Joe Daniel Gobea and wife Cindy of Brady, TX and Guadalupe “Lupe” Zamora, Jr. of Brady, TX; daughter Cynthia Ann Zamora McVay and husband Jeremy of Brady, TX; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and numerous friends.  Wally was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.  Memorial contributions in memory of Guadalupe Balboa “Wally” Zamora may be made to McCulloch County Senior Citizens Sunset Center, 214 West Lockhart, Brady, Texas 76825 and/or Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Ave, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or online at www.alz.org and/or Solaris Hospice, 107 East Main, Brady, Texas 76825 or online at www.solarisfamily.com.
