Six Receive Sentences in District Court

According to District Attorney, Micheal Murray, the following felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Mike Smith, presiding.

Justin Hayden Brown pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Brown, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was revoked and sentenced to Two (2) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Juan Gonzales Robles, Jr. pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to Twelve (12) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Benjamin Torrez, on probation for the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated was revoked and sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jaime Contreras, on probation for the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence was adjudicated and sentenced to Three (3) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Robert Michael Benson, on probation for the felony offenses of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence and Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to Four (4) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Salome Delacruz, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to Fourteen (14) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
