Eddie Randall Bryant, age 62, of Brownwood, Texas Care Nursing and Rehabilitation facility joined our Lord and Savior on May 14, 2023.

Eddie was born on May 29, 1960 to Beverly Sharon and David Ross Bryant in San Saba, Texas. As a youngster, Eddie enjoyed baseball and Cub Scouting, gaining a zest for life at an early age. Ed served as an Alter boy in 1971, and was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1972 at the First Presbyterian Church of Garland.

Later in middle school he became active in ROTC and went to High School at Sandia HS in New Mexico. Growing into his young adulthood, he enjoyed bowling and became very proficient at that sport scoring many high score games, and carried a Pro Bowling Association PBA card. His name was published in the newspaper several times for high scratch bowling game (no handicap added) in the city scratch bowling league.

As a young adult Ed worked for personal development author Zig Ziglar who instilled in Eddie “You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win”.

Eddie also loved motorcycling, which led to a brain injury accident while riding the dunes of New Mexico in 1983. Eddie was able to overcome a closed head injury after 98 days in a coma, blood infections created from a lung infection, heart stopping, and lungs partially removed. From that time on Eddie has lived in assisted living facilities in various parts of Texas. There he joined many friends in helping each other be better in following Christ and doing odd jobs to improve the facilities and their lawns and flower beds. Eddie also loved riding bicycles in and around town and remained physically active helping himself and others. As he grew older, Ed suffered from heart and lung issues/surgeries, foot problems and lately needing oxygen. Despite his impairments we can thank Eddie for the positive attitude he was able to show, an attitude that took him much farther in life than many people having a negative attitude. As shown in his photo, we believe Eddie was a champion survivor.

Eddie is survived by his loving Mother, Beverly Kovar and Stepfather, Walter Kovar of Goldthwaite, Texas, an older brother David R. Bryant of Grand Prairie, Texas, and a sister Klysta Hagemann of Duncanville, Texas. In accordance with his wishes, Eddie will be cremated and a memorial service will be determined at a future date.
