Four-way stop, paving could lead to delays

Beginning Wednesday, December 6, through Friday, December 8, the intersection of US 377 at FM 2524 (Main St. and Austin Ave.) will convert to a 4-way stop as TxDOT’s contractor removes the existing surface in preparation for new asphalt. During construction, the traffic signals at this intersection will be deactivated, and police officers will direct traffic.
Work will be performed daily between 9AM to 4PM to avoid delays during periods of highest traffic volume.
The traveling public is asked to use an alternate route, if possible, to avoid delays. Allow extra time to reach your destination and remain vigilant in work zones.

Also beginning Wednesday, December 6, TxDOT’s contractor will pave the newly constructed right turn lane on US 67 at Clements Street (near CVS).
Work is expected to begin at 7:00 a.m., daily and all lanes are expected to reopen at 11:00 a.m. The outside travel lane of US 67 will be closed while the work is performed.
Use caution when driving in work zones and motorists are asked to use an alternate route, if possible. The project is scheduled to be completed on Thursday, December 7.
