Pat McLaughlin III, Brown County Director of Grants and Government Affairs and candidate in the upcoming race for County Commissioner Precinct 3, delivered an informational presentation to the Brookesmith ISD Board of Trustees last night.

In a project at least two years in the making, McLaughlin has secured a grant for $233,205 for the purchase and installation of seven sirens with accompanying support materials. The sirens will be erected in the communities of May, Blanket, Zephyr, Indian Creek, Winchell and two in the Brookesmith area. These sirens will warn rural residents of emergency situations such as fires and tornadoes. The accompanying photos show all designated placement sites in Brown County; and the two designated sites in and near Brookesmith.
