This month’s spotlight teacher is LaPlesa Roseboom, a Special Education teacher at Coggin Elementary, where she works with 6th-grade students. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from Texas A&M Commerce in 2015 and holds state certifications in Core Subjects and Special Education (EC-6) along with an ESL Supplemental certification (EC-12). This is her 5th year with Brownwood ISD.
Ms. Roseboom is highly regarded for her dedication and commitment to her students. As the 6th-grade Resource/Inclusion teacher, she excels in supporting both her students and fellow educators. Known for her excellent communication skills, she ensures parents are kept informed and consistently seeks innovative ways to improve her teaching methods. Ms. Roseboom’s passion for education is evident in the significant growth and success of her students. Her colleagues appreciate her mentorship and leadership, and her students thrive under her guidance.

Our staff spotlight honoree this month is Martin Venegas! Mr. Venegas serves as a Bus Maintenance worker and District Mail Distributor for Brownwood ISD. He studied at Texas Bible Institute in Katy, Texas, and has been a vital part of the Brownwood bus barn team for 10 years.
Mr. Venegas is known for his dedication and dependability in his dual roles. Whether maintaining the district’s buses or ensuring that mail is delivered across campuses, he approaches his work with kindness and professionalism. His polite demeanor and willingness to assist make him a valued member of the bus barn staff and our district family. Co-workers commend his reliability and positive attitude, recognizing the important role he plays in keeping operations running smoothly.
