Strange behavior leads to discovery of large amount of marijuana

Early Police Officer Andre Smoot stopped a vehicle on Monday for a defective headlight. The driver, identified as Dakota Peterson and passenger Brand Willis, both from Kansas, were acting nervous and suspicious, the report states. Smoot stated both were trying to hurry the process. After further conversation, the occupants admitted there was marijuana in the vehicle.
Officers located more than 43 grams of marijuana and a small quantity of “wax” or marijuana concentrate THC along with other paraphernalia. According to chief David Mercer, wax is said to be the strongest form of marijuana in the market today and is highly hallucinogenic. Wax has caused many to be hospitalized and has caused several deaths due to its purity, which can exceed 80%. Both occupants were placed under arrest and taken to the Brown County Jail. Peterson was charged with possession of marijuana is being held on a $1,500 bond. Willis was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana and is being held on bonds totaling $11,500.
