Local man sentenced to 30 years on drug charge

District Attorney Micheal Murray reported that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court with Judge Stephen Ellis presiding. Adam Wayne Funderburg was sentenced to two separate felony offenses of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and was sentenced to 30 years. Funderburg has several arrests dating back to 1998. Other charges have included possession of child pornography, trespassing and possession of methamphetamines. Others sentenced were:

  • Billy Wayne Thomas pled no contest to the felony offenses of assault family violence-occlusion-previous conviction and repeated violation of court order or condition of bond and was sentenced to 15 years.
  • Arthur Lopez pled guilty to the felony offense of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to five years.
  • Heidi Ann Youngers pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 15 months.
