Carmen V. Rendon age 91 of Santa Anna, Texas passed from this life on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at 11:52 am at her residence with her family by her side.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Laurent Mvondo officiating. Interment will follow in the Santa Anna Cemetery with services entrusted to Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. Rosary will be Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home led by Mary DeLeon

She was born Carmen Ruiz Vasquez on November 9, 1926 in Santa Anna, Texas to Venino Gonzales Vasquez. Sr. and Elena Ruiz Vasquez. She was raised in Leaday and Santa Anna and attended the Leaday and Santa Anna schools receiving her diploma. On August 30, 1948 Carmen married the love of her life Mauricio Rendon, Jr. in Greeley, Colorado and they celebrated forty seven years of marriage. Maurice preceded her in death in 1995. She was a lifetime resident of Santa Anna active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Guadalupe Society. Carmen was a nurse’s aide caring for many in our community.
