Tuesday is National Night Out for Brown County and area residents are getting ready to hold block parties to meet neighbors and local law enforcement.
This year, dozens of block parties are scheduled across the county in Brownwood, Early, Bangs, and several rural locations.
The Brownwood and Early Police Departments; the Brown County Sheriff’s office; area fire departments; along with other city and county officials will visit these parties taking place Tuesday, October 2nd between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Residents attending block parties are encouraged to bring canned tuna to benefit Good Samaritan Ministries, who will collect the donated cans during National Night Out.
Local participating sponsors for the 2018 National Night Out include Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers, 3M Company, Atmos Energy, TexasBank, Lifeguard Ambulance Service , and Central Texas Heart and Vascular. Goodie bags sponsored by Andy’s Pest Troopers.
