Man arrested for assaulting grandmother

The Early Police Department has been busy through the holidays. Officers responded to a hit and run accident Wednesday at Sonic, where a white, four-door pickup struck a parked car in the lot. Moments later, officers received a report of a major one vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Early Blvd. in front of the fire department. The vehicle was a white, four-door pickup. The driver refused medical assistance and was administered a field sobriety test. The driver, William David Branson of Arlington was arrested for DWI and taken to the emergency room for a blood sample and then transported to the Brown County Jail.

Officers responded to a one-vehicle rollover at Old Comanche Road and Highway 183 N., where a vehicle failed to make the curve coming into town. The vehicle rolled several times, causing severe damage to the vehicle and trapping the driver. The fire department extricated the female driver and she was transported to the emergency room by Lifeguard EMS. A blood sample was taken and a warrant will be sought at a later date for DWI.

A traffic stop by December 19th by Cpl Michelle Sheedy and Officer Chris Gibson resulted in the seizure of a small quantity of THC. Dylan Stanbery of Arlington was arrested in possession of a quantity of THC and drug paraphernalia. Stanbery was also arrested and placed in Brown County Jail.

Bryan Turner was arrested for aggravated assault-family violence after hitting his grandmother and then threatening her with a bicycle rim he used for a weapon.
