Credit Card Fraud, Marijuana Arrest Among Brown Co. S.O. Reports

The following calls for service are listed on the April 17, 2019 report from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

On April 15, 2019, at approximately 1436 hours, a Deputy responded to FM 3254 for a Duty on Striking report.  The Deputy contacted the victim who advised a known suspect struck her vehicle.  The incident is still being investigated.

On Monday, April 15, 2019, at approximately 15:32, a Deputy was dispatched to Turner Drive in reference to a credit card fraud report and investigation.  The report will follow.

On April 15, 2019, at approximately 1750 hours, a Deputy contacted a victim in regards to a Credit Card Abuse report.  The incident is still being investigated.

On April 15, 2019, at approximately 1803 hours, a Deputy responded to CR 381 for a Burglary of a Habitation report.  The incident is still being investigated.

On Monday, April 15, 2019, at approximately 18:12, a Deputy was dispatched to CR 381 in Early in reference to a trespassing report and investigation.  The report will follow.

On April 15, 2019, a Deputy responded to North 183, Brownwood, for a report of a burglary.  The victim informed the Deputy a firearm had been taken along with jewelry.  Information was gathered and a report was made.

On Monday, April 8, 2019, a Deputy received information that a woman and man were arrested in Dallas on outstanding warrants on Sunday, April 7, 2019.  At the time of the arrest, they were together.  They are the respondent and protected person named in an Emergency Protective Order issued by Judge Haney on March 5, 2019 and expiring on May 6, 2019.  Therefore, it is alleged, the woman would be in violation of the Protective Order.

On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, a Lt. with Brown County S.O. met with a man at the Law Enforcement Center in regards to someone damaging his vehicle.  A report was taken and there are no suspects to list.

On April 16, 2019, at about 11:09 hours, a Deputy arrived at Sunset Road in Brownwood in regards to ID theft.   The male complainant stated a female subject had opened a credit card account in his father-in-laws name.  The complainant stated the woman did not have consent to open an account in the man’s name.

On April 15, 2019, a Deputy was presented with a found debit MasterCard reportedly discovered at Riverside Park in Brownwood.  This item was placed into the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at approximately 18:42 hours, a Deputy was dispatched to CR 327 in Blanket in reference to an interference with child custody report and investigation.  The report will follow.

On April 16, 2019, a Brown County Cpl. Stopped a silver Ford Mustang on US 183 North, near CR 495, for defective license plate lamp.  The driver was arrested for Possession of Marijuana after he surrendered about 3.0 grams of useable marijuana from his pocket.

On April 17, 2019, at approximately 03:19 am, a Deputy was dispatched to Blarney Drive/Clover Leaf Drive in Brownwood in regards to a vehicle partially blocking the roadway.  The vehicle was ultimately towed and a report was made.
