The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls in recent days:
On June 14, 2019, at approximately 2249 hours, a Corporal responded to south US 377 for warrant service. Contact was made with a female who was subsequently arrested for warrants and additionally charged with Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1<1 gram. The was transported to the Brown County Jail where she was released to jail staff. The controlled substance was trace amounts in a methamphetamine pipe and syringe.
On Saturday, June 15, at 09:50 hours, a Deputy was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center in regards to theft of a firearm. Upon arrival, the Deputy spoke to a subject who said an unknown person had stolen a firearm from her residence. A report was taken.
On Saturday, June 15, at 10:17 hours, a Deputy was dispatched to Surfside Dr. in Brownwood. This was in regards to burglary of a building. Upon arrival, the Deputy spoke with a woman who stated an unknown person had stolen several items. A report was taken.
On June 15, at approximately 6:30 pm, a Deputy with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, was dispatched to County Road 550. This was for a reported disturbance. After arrival, the Deputy learned an actual physical altercation occurred a few days prior. The Deputy completed a report for Assault and sent it for further investigation.
On June 15, a Deputy was dispatched to an address on US Highway 183 in regards to a stolen vehicle. It was reported that a known person got into a vehicle and drove off the property. A report has been taken.
On June 16, a Deputy was dispatched to a business on Indian Creek Road. This was in regards to an assault, which occurred in the County. A woman stated a man had pushed her out of a moving vehicle around the 10,000 block of Highway 279. The woman was taken to the hospital for injuries. A report has been made.
On June 15, at approximately 2310 hours, a Deputy initiated a traffic stop at County Road 617 and Bluebonnet Lane on a 2004 Toyota 4 door. This was for disregarding a stop sign. The female driver was contacted by the Deputy who subsequently arrested the woman for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1<1 gram; Possession of Marijuana <2 oz. The controlled substance weighed <1 gram and the marijuana weighed 0.4 grams.
