Brown Co. Commissioners Meet This Morning (Mon) – Consider Salary Increases

Brown County Commissioners will meet at 9:00 am on Monday, September 9, in Commissioners’ Courtroom at the Brown County Courthouse. In addition, a Budget Workshop will begin 15 minutes after the completion of the regular meeting.  The agendas are posted below.

1. Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order
2. Prayer
3. Citizen Comments
(All speakers will be required to adhere to the rules of procedure, conduct and decorum adopted by the Court on August 19, 2019. Any disruptive, abusive, obscene, or disrespectful behavior will be terminated immediately.)
4. Consideration and approval of meeting minutes of August 26th, 2019 and workshop minutes.
5. Presentation of Treasurer’s/Auditor’s Report.
6. Consideration and Approval of Payment of any bills needed

7. Consideration and Approval of all appropriate action regarding the following:
A. Dr. Paul Lilly, Brown County Judge – Consideration and possible approval of salary increases for county employees;
B. Dr. Paul Lilly, Brown County Judge – Consideration and possible approval of salary increases for elected officials;
C. Dr. Paul Lilly, Brown County Judge – Consideration and possible reappointment of David Alan Smith,
M. D. to the Board of Trustees of Central Texas Mental Health Mental Retardation Dba Center for Life Resources
D. Mr. Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding burn ban;
E. Sharon Ferguson, County Clerk – Public Hearing on preservation and restoration of the County Clerk’s Records Archive (spon cj);
F. Sharon Ferguson, County Clerk – Consideration and possible approval of County Clerk Records Archival Plan/Fee (spon cj);
G. Roy Parrack, Constable Precinct 3 – Consideration and possible approval of Constable Fees (spon cj);
H. Vance Hill, Brown County Sheriff- Consideration and possible approval of Sheriff Fees (spon cj);
Vance Hill, Brown County Sheriff- Presentation of jail report (spon cj);

Notice is hereby given that the Commissioners’ Court of Brown County, Texas, will hold a PUBLIC WORKSHOP on MONDAY, September 9, 2019, in the COMMISSIONERS’ COURTROOM, at the Brown County Courthouse, 200 South Broadway St., Brownwood Texas, 76801. The workshop will start fifteen minutes after the regular Commissioners’ Court meeting adjourns.

WORKSHOP SESSION PURPOSE
1. Discussion regarding the 2019-2020 Brown County budget and related issues.
