BROWN COUNTY S.O. REPORT

On Wednesday, October 16, at about 04:07 hours, Deputy Simpson had a 2010 white Ford F-150 run the red light at Clements Street and West Commerce.  This almost caused Deputy Simpson to strike the truck.  The driver made a wide right turn and failed to signal lane change.  The Deputy performed a traffic stop.  Upon making contact, Deputy Simpson was able to conclude the man was driving while intoxicated.  A Standardized Field Sobriety Test was done.  Due to the man failing the test, he was placed in custody, taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a blood draw, then transported to the Brown County Jail.

On Wednesday, October 16, at 10:09 hours, Deputy Bastardo was dispatched to the 7000 block of FM 586.  This was in regards to loose livestock.  Owner was not located and the bull was strayed.  A report was taken.

On October 16, at approximately 18:46, Deputy Rodriguez was dispatched to 1050 W. Commerce in Brownwood.  This was in regards to an assault which occurred in the jail.  A report was made.

On October 17, Deputy Mathis responded to West Main Blvd for a report of terroristic threat.  Contact was made with a woman who reported a man had made sexual contact without her permission and threatened her with a knife.  Information was gathered for a report.

On October 15, at about 14:06 hours, Deputy Langley spoke with a man who stated he had lost his company’s Samsung tablet.  He stated he had left the tablet on top of his vehicle and, when he attempted to locate the tablet, all he found was the black case.

On Tuesday, October 15, at approximately 15:00, Sheriff’s Office units were dispatched to County Road 411 in May in reference to a terroristic threat report and investigation.

On Thursday, October 10, Lieutenant Bastardo was dispatched to Highway 67/84 in regards to Burglary of a Building.  Several items were taken and there are no suspects to list at this time.

On October 11, at about 09:28 hours, Deputy Langley arrived at the Block of County Road 259 in Zephyr.  This was in regards to illegal dumping.  Deputy Langley spoke to a Road Crew Officer who stated someone had dumped a recliner and mattress on the side of the roadway.

On October 11, at about 13:15 hours, Deputy Langley arrived at the ARK in Brownwood in regards to a theft.  He spoke to a woman who stated her former roommate had taken her money and kicked her out of the apartment they were living in together.

On October 11, at approximately 17:00 hours, Corporal Hopson spoke to a victim about filing a theft report.  The incident is still being investigated.

On Friday, October 11, at about 17:29 hours, Deputy Simpson checked out with a white female in the 9700 block of U.S. Highway 183 North.  The woman stated she believes she had a warrant and she was in possession of marijuana.  She did not have a warrant.  A search was done of her backpack.  A total of 2.2 grams of marijuana was found in the woman’s backpack.  She was transported to the Brown County Jail and released to jail staff.

On October 11, at approximately 19:01 hours, Corporal Hopson spoke with a witness who wished to report Cruelty to non-livestock animal.  The incident is still being investigated.

On October 11, Deputy Smoot was dispatched to Bally Shannon Drive.  This was for a criminal trespass with the victim being followed by ex-husband.  After arriving on scene and speaking with the victim, Deputy Smoot discovered the suspect had been at her residence earlier in the day and followed her after leaving work.  Deputy Smoot later discovered the suspect in a wooded area near the victim’s residence and detained him.  Deputy Smoot later discovered the suspect had entered the property of the victim, which he has a criminal trespass warning for, and made entry to the victim’s residence without permission and left an unwanted present on her bed.  During the investigation Deputy Smoot learned the suspect had made several attempts to contact and spy on the victim throughout the day.  The suspect was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and Stalking.

On October 12, at approximately 11:05 hours, Deputy Hammonds was dispatched to Brook Valley Drive in regards to criminal mischief.  A report was made.

On October 12, at approximately 18:46 hours, Corporal Hopson went to a residence in Brown County to speak to a person having delusional thoughts.  The incident was documented in a report.

On October 13, Deputy Mathis was dispatched to Bayside Drive in May, Texas for a report of a burglary, not in progress.  Deputy Mathis arrived and met with a home owner.  Nothing appeared taken but several items and property had been damaged on the inside. A report was made for further investigation.

On October 14, at about 09:35 hours, Deputy Langley arrived at County Road 135 in Brownwood.  This was in regards to animal at large.  Deputy Langley spoke with a man who stated his dogs had gotten out of the yard and were attempting to attack the neighbor’s goat.  The man stated he was unable to control the dogs and wanted to notify the neighbors of the dogs running loose and attacking the goats.

On October 14, at 13:01 hours, Deputy Davies was dispatched to a report of theft on Clover Leaf Drive.  A report was taken.

On Monday, October 14, at about 21:11 hours, Deputy Simpson responded to the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 377 East.  This was in regards to a suspicious vehicle revving up their engine.  Upon arriving on scene, it was discovered someone attempted to drive their vehicle over the dirt berm into the PumpCo yard.  Contact was made with a man who works for PumpCo.  He advised they would like to pursue charges.

BROWNWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT

On 10/15/2019, at approximately 18:00 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Elizabeth Drive for a call of domestic disturbance. Brownwood Police made a report for an assault and theft.

On 10-15-19, at approximately 16:32 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the police department in reference to a scam. An active report was generated.

On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at approximately 16:00 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address, 2000 block of Brady Avenue, in reference to Terroristic Threat. A report was generated for this incident.

On Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at approximately 09:00 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address, 2000 block of Southside Drive, in reference to Criminal Mischief. A report was generated for this incident.
