The City of Brownwood has announced closure and adjusted trash schedule for Thanksgiving.

Brownwood City Hall, Landfill, Recycling Center and other non-emergency facilities will close Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27.  Normal operating hours for the Landfill will resume on Saturday, November 28 and for other city facilities Monday, November 30.

Residential curbside trash routes for the week of Thanksgiving will be collected as follows:

Monday and Tuesday routes will not be affected.

Thursday’s route (Thanksgiving Day) will be collected on Wednesday.

Friday’s route will be collected on Saturday.

Please have your carts out by 7:00 am to ensure collection.

Emergency services are available for water line breaks and sewer backups 24 hours a day by calling 325-646-6000.
