Ruth Schneider, age 82, of Brownwood passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021.
Celebration of Life for Ruth will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Mittelstadt officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held prior to service from 1 – 2 p.m. at the church’s Fellowship Hall. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Ruth was born on January 29, 1939, to Albert and Mary (Boothe) Mahlow in Longview, Texas.
Ruth married the love of her life, Martin Schneider, on February 3, 1962, in Longview. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brownwood. Ruth worked and retired from the De Kalb ISD in De Kalb, Texas.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Martin Schneider of Brownwood; son, Gary Schneider and wife, Patricia of Aquilla; grandchildren, Hannah and Zachary Schneider; and sister, Fran Ware of Denton. She is also survived by serval nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Mahlow; and a son, Allen Schneider.
