Becky Burton, 61, of San Angelo

Becky Burton, age 61, of San Angelo, died Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.

The family will host a visitation starting at 8:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bobby Roger, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street in Coleman.

She was born Rebecca Michelle Davis on February 6, 1960, in Germany to Arlia Davis and Kriemhild “Kitty” Gosemann Davis.  Her father served in the military and her family came back to the United States when she was three years old.  Becky attended school in Killeen and received her associates degree in childcare.  She married Stephen Burton on November 5, 2011, at Ovala Baptist Church.  Becky was a homemaker, childcare provider, and a teacher’s aide at Head Start in San Angelo.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in San Angelo.

Becky enjoyed camping, cooking, and baking.  With her father being in the military, Becky lived and experienced many different places.  She enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with family.  Becky had a positive outlook at all phases of her life.  She had many life challenging experiences with the tragic loss of her mother and cancer diagnosis.  Becky’s faith in God was her number one priority and her love of family was evident in her daily living.  She will be missed.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents. Arlia and Kriemhild Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Burton of San Angelo; two sons, Corey Lewis and wife Megan of Texarkana and Travis Lewis and wife Michelle of San Angelo; seven grandchildren, Chance, Carter, Orlie, Kinslee, Gauge, Michael, and Hayden; two sisters, Peggy Easley and husband Joe of Killeen and Diane Barnett and husband Barry of Killeen; and two brothers, Vernon Davis and wife Evelyn of Lake Limestone and Dirk Davis and wife Sally of Killeen.

Pallbearers will be Corey Lewis, Travis Lewis, Vernon Davis, and Dirk Davis.
