Daniel was born May 13, 1948 in Santa Monica, Coahuila, Mexico to Daniel and Maria Trinidad Ramirez.  He attended a catholic school locally in Santa Monica and would talk about the nuns slapping his hands with rulers.  Daniel married Raquel Mendoza on February 14, 1976 and they began a life together that blessed them with 3 children.  Daniel worked for Vulcan Materials driving an earth mover among various other talents for over 37 years before retirement.  He was a great provider to all of his family and instilled a good work ethic in his children.  He was a man of few words who loved nature, farming and the ranch lifestyle.  Daniel enjoyed sitting outside listening to the radio or playing on his guitar.  He was a devoted husband, father and leader who was always dependable and reliable.  He lived a simple life and it was fulfilling for him.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Miriam Chapa and husband Oscar of Brownwood; sons, Daniel A. Ramirez Jr. and Edgar Ramirez of Brownwood; brothers and sisters, Miguel Ramirez, Homero Ramirez, Maria Trinidad Martinez, Graciela Sanchez; cousin Estella Rubio of La Grange, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Julissa I. Chapa and Oscar M. Chapa III; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
