ROSCOE – The Bangs Lady Dragons edged Coleman by one point, while the Bangs Dragons established a 23.5-point cushion en route to capturing District 8-2A track and field championships here Thursday.

The Lady Dragons produced 117 points while Coleman finished with 116, Roscoe tallied 111 and Colorado City generated 103 points in a closely-contested race.

The Dragons, meanwhile, garnered 148.5 points while Miles was second with 125.

Both Bangs teams also combined to earn 28 berths – 15 boys and 13 girls – in the 7-2A/8-2A area meet on their home turf at Memorial Stadium on Wednesday, April 10.
