It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Lou Adkins Keele, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who departed this life on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the age of 77.

She born on March 25, 1947, in San Angelo, Texas.

Mary was a remarkable woman, known for her spirited attitude and humor. She dedicated her life to family and as a co-owner of Aladdin Carpet Company in Brownwood, with her late husband, Frank Keele. Her greatest joys came from spending time with her family, spending hours in the yard while gardening and cooking delicious meals.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Ragsdale, her son-in-law, Mike Ragsdale, daughter Lisa Cole, son-in-law Eric Cole, Grandchildren Justin Ragsdale and wife Sierra, Payton Ragsdale and wife Kinsey, Ivy Cole and Gunnar Cole. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Harrison, Rixx and Holland Ragsdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Keele, her oldest brother, Horace Ray Jr. “Tooter”, her other brother Leonard Adkins and her parents, Horace Ray and Lily Adkins.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Though she may no longer walk among us, Mary’s memory will live on in our hearts forever. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
