Elizabeth Marie (Beeman) Roberts passed from this world on May 11, 2026. A graveside service for Elizabeth will be held at 4:30 pm on Friday, May, 15 at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early.

Elizabeth (Betty) was born in Santa Anna, Texas, the fifth child of eight born to James Robert and Mary Cecil Beeman. Betty graduated from high school in Brady, Texas after living in many central Texas towns while growing up. Betty had one daughter by her first marriage to Jack C. Herrington. She then Married H.L. Roberts. They built a happy life together for 32 years.

Betty was employed by Southwestern States Telephone in Brady, Texas. She transferred to Brownwood in 1965 where the company changed to GTE and later Verizon. She was known for training great phone operators, being a hard worker and friend to all. She retired in 1986 to care for her parents and two grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Herrington Means; grandson, Steven Means (Kate), and daughters, Katy, Caroline, Allie, and Claire; granddaughter, Julie Means Swenson (Brad) and sons, Luke and Cole; grandson, Bruce Means (Tammy) and daughter, Karissa (Ethan) and grandson, Antonio; brother, Leo Beeman (Mary); and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, H.L. Roberts; parents, James and Cecil Beeman; sisters, Fannie Buford and Mattie Tomlinson; brothers, Kenneth Beeman, Horace Beeman, Robert Beeman, and Charles Beeman; and son-in-law, Bill Means.
